What directory links do. And what they don't.
They can
- Put your product and URL on more sites where people browse for tools.
- Give search engines more paths to find your pages.
- Give AI answers more pages to cite, once those pages are indexed.
- Leave you a record of every listing, so you can check and update them later.
They don't
- Guarantee rankings, a higher Domain Rating, traffic or sales.
- Guarantee a listing: each directory decides, and some reject.
- All pass link value: some directories use nofollow links.
- Replace channels that need you in person, like a Product Hunt launch.
Google's spam policies treat low-quality directory links built to game rankings as spam; relevant, edited directories are normal. Our guide to directory submission sites explains the difference.

Partly. Some directories are submitted with our own form tooling and others by hand, depending on what each site's form allows. Either way, each submission is recorded in your report with its status.

We can't promise that, and no one honestly can. Each directory decides whether to list you, some links are nofollow, and Google treats links built only to manipulate rankings as spam. What the submissions do is put your product and URL on more relevant sites where people and search engines can find it.
It depends on each directory. Some use dofollow links, some use nofollow, and each site chooses. The sample table shows the link type we have on record, and you can check the live link on each listing in your report.
