Phantom Chat allows users to message anyone without giving up their identity, requiring no phone number, email, or real name for signup. It is designed with privacy as a priority, featuring end-to-end encryption and quantum-safe technology. The app generates a long-term identity key within the iPhone's Secure Enclave, ensuring that the private key cannot be extracted, even by malware. Users can delete their account and all data instantly through three quick-access methods: shake gesture, Lock Screen widget, or a separate reset PIN. The app does not tie accounts to SIM cards or carriers, and profiles are encrypted on the server, preventing indexing of conversations. Users can customize their experience with over 76 app icons and themes. Contacts are added through expiring invitation codes, which can be set with varying durations. Groups are created by code rather than username, allowing for flexible management of access and security.
