Nova Anime XL

Nova Anime XL is a popular SDXL checkpoint merge by Crody for anime, 2.5D, and illustration looks. The current public focus is the Illustrious (IL) line, with the latest release IL v19.0 (about 2026-05-12) featuring higher contrast and background detail, built from NoobAI EPS v1.1 + Illustrious v2.0-stable + ChenkinNoob v0.5 DARE.

Public history spans early XL v1.0 and a long Pony-labeled series (v1-v6) before moving into the Illustrious ecosystem. Recommended settings: Euler a sampler, about 20-30 steps, CFG 4-6, SDXL-class resolution, with quality tags such as masterpiece / best quality. Free to try via browser playgrounds on the website.
